About

After successful careers as gymnasts themselves, Norm and Anne Vexler started Hampshire  Gymnastics School in the fall of 1974. Along with teaching and coaching for the past 34 years, they have raised a family of gymnasts as well. Over the years, many former students have returned to bring their own children to classes and several former students have also joined the staff. Norm and Anne continually strive to provide area children with a quality gymnastics program.

Building their own facility in 1978 allowed for more equipment and training space. An exciting new teaching aid called the PIT was added in 1988. The pit is 18 by 20 ft and is 6 ft deep. It is filled with over 10,000 foam cubes which stop the gymnast in the safest possible way. This has proved to be an incredible teaching aid for the most advanced level gymnasts as well as a wonderful place in which to jump and play for our youngest students.
